The River & Ridge Story
Guided by nature, designed for everyday life
Inspired by my roots in the NSW Snowy Mountains, and the lessons of nature, River & Ridge Yoga is an ode to the practices that help us rise, while also welcoming calm, ease, and flow. Offerings grew from this foundation, backed by the latest wellbeing research and a simple idea: that wellbeing doesn’t have to be something we chase. It can be something we return to through simple moments of breath, movement, and connection.

A practice for connection
I'm a yoga teacher and wellbeing facilitator based on Ngunnawal and Ngambri Country in the ACT. I founded River & Ridge Yoga to create space for people to reconnect: to themselves, to what steadies them, and to the moments that matter.

River & Ridge reflects what I’ve learned from years of teaching, research, and practice: that presence isn’t something we find once and hold onto - it’s something we return to, again and again. Like a ridge to steady you, or a river to soften and flow with.
Sustainable. Practical. Purposeful.
My approach is gentle but purposeful. I’m interested in the kind of wellbeing that doesn’t rely on escape, but on small, sustainable shifts - things you can carry with you through the day. I draw from over 8 years of teaching yoga - with training in hatha, yin and trauma-aware practice - as well as a background in applied linguistics, positive psychology, and workplace wellbeing.
My classes are designed to meet people where they are, whether that’s in the middle of a workday or a season of personal change.

Why words matter
My greatest interests collide in wellbeing literacy - the understanding that how we talk about wellbeing shapes how we experience it. A single word can shift how we approach restoration, recharge, and reconnection. And just as language matters in our own self-talk, it matters in how wellbeing is taught, shared, and held in space for others.
